New Manager Coaching Program
Becoming a new manager can be an exciting time, but also unsettling and filled with anxiety. COVID-19 has added extra challenges to managing people in a supportive and trusting way.
If you have become a new manager of a team within the past twelve months, this 6-week coaching program will provide you with ideas, tips and suggestions on how to become the best leader you can be.
Using “Being the Boss: The Three Imperatives for Becoming a Great Leader” by Linda A Hill and Kent Lineback as a resource, this program combines a blend of self-study/reading, guided exercises, and small group virtual meetings to elevate your leadership skills.
How it works:
- Upon registration, you will be provided with the program curriculum outlining the reading schedule and guided exercises
- You will meet with the program participants virtually for 1.5 hours once every week (with one two-week period in between) for a guided discussion, peer mentoring, and coaching
- The program is limited to 8 participants to allow for discussion
- Participants are required to attend all five sessions and to complete the readings and homework assignments for each session

HR Book Club Academy
Why take just any boring, regular HR seminar? Instead, learn, network, and grow professionally through this unique book club-based program.
HR Book Club Academy is a 12-month program in which we will read, discuss, and apply the lessons from twelve pivotal books focusing on knowing the business, knowing our people, and knowing ourselves. Through independent study, small group discussions and team exercises, you will elevate your skills as a human resources professional.
How it works:
- Each month, the participants will be assigned one book to read
- We will meet virtually for 1.5 hours on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss the book and how the lessons can be applied at work. (Note: books must be purchased or borrowed separately; they are not included in the investment fee)
- You will receive weekly newsletters, questions and activities to try during that month’s reading
- Through small group discussions and guided exercises, you will learn to become more strategic and intentional in your profession.
